FAA- The bottom line is that you don't want to pay the government a FINANCIAL CIVIL PENALTY and/or avoid CERTIFICATE REVOCATION.

You should attend whether you're a single-owner operator or a large company, regardless if you've been in the industry a month or 20 years. If you're an owner and/or Designated Employee Representative (DER) of any of the following FAA certificates: 121, 135, 145, 91.147 (LOA), or hold a Contractor Registration that performs safety-sensitive functions and has an FAA mandated Drug and Alcohol Program; this course is for you.

You are responsible for every aspect of this program and it is in your best interest to understand the regulations that govern it and how it can be used to help protect you.

2. Become disgruntled and sabotage your paperwork

Who's cross-checking the paperwork? It's highly recommended that you bring along an alternate employee to learn the ropes as a back-up DER. Remember, even in the absence of the primary DER; the program MUST still function in accordance with the federal regulatory guidelines.
